Door Closers

One of the most important, yet often overlooked pieces of door hardware are door closers. Without a properly functioning door closer, even the most elaborate lock cannot secure a door. Selecting the correct door closer for a particular door is extremely important. Some issues to consider when choosing a door closer are the following: size and weight of the door, frequency of use of the door, location of the door, and the finish. Door closers are available with several options such as back checks, for doors in windy locations, and hold opens for doors that need to have a means of being temporarily held open.
